On the last stretch,( literally) the painted murals were stretched and finally on their way to be mounted for public viewing pleasure.
Adding the Signature
On October 12th, 2019 we signed and packaged all 3 murals to make sure they were ready to be transported to The Grantley Adams International Airport.
Stretching & Framework
The first 2 images shown below are images from the carpenter who built the frames for the pieces to be stretched on. They are just examples of how the final stretcher bars were created.
These 2 images are from a meeting where we discussed with the client how the pieces were going to be made ready to be stretched by adding additional canvas on all 4 sides of each piece.
Sore Hands
On October 11th, 2019 all the stretcher bars were delivered to the airport and we began stretching the pieces onto the frames. By October 13th, 2019 all three pieces were stretch and ready to be hung.
During the whole process, we probably use almost 1000 staples using around 35o staples per piece. By the end, all our hands were red even though we took turns using the staple gun.

Stretched and ready to be hung
After stretching all the pieces we were able to get photos of each of them in there totality. Before now we were unable to get images of the full piece because they were too big and were not able to stand up or to be leaned against a wall.
