This mural was created to keep the reception classes of the Primary School interested in learning. The teachers wanted something that involved nursery rhymes as well as numbers and letters. They wanted the kids to be able to go up to the wall and point out the different numbers and letters of the wall.
The Process
This mural was the first mural ever completed by A3. At the time our founders were in college when they created this mural.
We had long discussions with our tutors about how to move forward with this project while we were still in college. Taking our prior knowledge on how to price our work as well as advice from others who had created bigger works before we approached the rep at the primary school with our sketches, a budget as well as a plan on when we would be able to complete this job.
After everything(Sketch, budget etc.) was approved we went on to complete this mural between October 29th, 2015 and January 7th, 2016. We were only able to paint after school hours not only because we were in college at the time but because the primary school was not out on Christmas vacation as yet. So we were only able to work on the mural on the weekends.
