With the vision of highlighting Barbadian talent and our National heroes, Bargain Village commissioned us for some colorful murals to liven up the area.
Inspiration
Artists such as Allison Hinds, Rihanna, Machel Montano, and DJ Puffy were requested along with our first Barbadian female Prime Minister, The Honourable Mia Amor Mottley, and national hero Errol Barrow.
The process
The main imagery of the majority of these murals were portraits that highlighted different fun aspects of their careers. Coordinating with the client we discussed sketches before beginning each wall.
Starting in April, we made quick work while dedicating about a week or so to each wall. Finishing the majority of murals by June, we resumed in August for the last few.
